Fabrizio Romano has named Tottenham and another Premier League club as the ones with the keenest interest in an exciting 19-year-old winger.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The expectation among many is that\u00a0Spurs will spend big money in January\u00a0to add to their squad after what has been a chastening first half of the season.<\/p>\n

Some big-name attackers have been linked with a move to N17 in the past week, including an exciting Bundesliga winger, who has scored seven goals and provided four assists across all competitions so far this campaign.<\/p>\n

It has been reported that\u00a0Spurs have held advanced talks over a deal for RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande,\u00a0who is quickly forging a reputation as one of the best young players in German football.<\/p>\n

Tottenham and Premier League rivals continue to watch Yan Diomande<\/h2>\n

Some journalists have suggested that Diomande is too ambitious a target for Spurs, but others have continued to claim that\u00a0Tottenham are right in the thick of the race for the Leipzig star.<\/p>\n

Now, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that\u00a0Spurs\u00a0and Man United have been on a \u2018mission\u2019 to scout the Ivory Coast international over recent weeks.<\/p>\n

When asked about Diomande, Romano told\u00a0GiveMeSport: \u201cI\u2019m told there are several\u00a0Premier League\u00a0clubs following this boy. He\u2019s playing for Red Bull Leipzig, doing very well, and also for the Ivory Coast at the AFCON.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very talented winger with dribbling and with pace. He\u2019s a very good player, very good talent, very interesting, with big potential.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFor young man Diomande, what I can tell you is that among many clubs, it\u2019s not only about these two. But among many clubs, recently Manchester United and Tottenham were on a mission to scout this boy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Do Spurs have the financial muscle to land Diomande?<\/h2>\n

It has been widely reported that\u00a0Leipzig are demanding a whopping \u20ac100m (\u00a387m) for Diomande in January.<\/p>\n

If Tottenham pay that, it would make the 19-year-old comfortably the North London club\u2019s record signing, beating out the \u00a365m they paid to land\u00a0Dominic Solanke.<\/p>\n
