Swifties have long speculated that there\u2019s a lost album called Karma<\/em> that Swift worked on and scrapped between 2014\u2019s 1989<\/em> and 2017\u2019s Reputation<\/em>. Fans believe it was supposed to be released in 2016 before Swift\u2019s feud with Kanye West<\/strong> and Kim Kardashian<\/strong> caused her to temporarily retreat from public life.<\/p>\n

In the spring of 2016, Swift debuted a brand new look, cutting her hair short and dying it bleach blonde. Some fans think that transformation was supposed to signify a new musical era \u2014 one that never saw the light of day.<\/p>\n

One TikTok user speculated that the outfits could mean Swift is heading into her \u201890s era and plans to release a grunge rock album. The fan also theorized that Swift\u2019s rumored lost album could be a \u201890s rock album that was meant to follow 1989<\/em>\u2019s nod to \u201880s pop.<\/p>\n

A New \u2018Evermore\u2019 Music Video Is Coming<\/h3>\n

Even though it\u2019s been almost four years since Swift dropped Evermore<\/em> in December 2020, one fan guessed that the copious amounts of plaid are a nod to the album. While fans have been itching for Reputation (Taylor\u2019s Version)<\/em> for years at this point, some fans think that Swift\u2019s fashion choices indicate that she\u2019s releasing the rerecording of her titular debut album first.<\/p>\n

As one TikTok user pointed out, plaid makes an appearance in two music videos from the Taylor Swift<\/em> era. In the \u201cOur Song\u201d video, Swift\u2019s pillowcase is a yellow plaid that looks very similar to the dress she wore to the VMAs. In \u201cTim McGraw,\u201d Swift\u2019s love interest wears a plaid button down shirt.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlaid is obviously very, like, synonymous with country [and] flannel,\u201d the TikTok user said, concluding that it would make sense for plaid to represent Swift\u2019s \u201cmost country album.\u201d<\/p>\n
