With Golden State searching for answers and the\u00a0Sacramento Kings\u00a0off to a disastrous start of their own, a surprising potential match has emerged.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Allen Stiles of Sactown Sports 1140<\/em>, a California-based NBA team \u201cdown the freeway\u201d is monitoring the availability of\u00a0Domantas Sabonis, the Kings\u2019 three-time All-Star big man.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo when you\u2019re trying to trade for Sabonis, there\u2019s a team out there \u2014 and I heard about a team not too far down the road that could be interested,\u201d\u00a0Stiles said\u00a0on\u00a0The Allen Stiles Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd when I say \u2018down the road,\u2019 I mean down the freeway \u2014 that team could look at a Domantas Sabonis.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Stiles did not name the Warriors directly, the geographical hint \u2014 and Golden State\u2019s well-documented interest in upgrading the frontcourt \u2014 immediately fueled speculation.<\/p>\n

The 6-foot-10 Lithuanian averagesian center is averaging 15.8 points per game, 13.3 rebounds (leads the\u00a0NBA) and 3.9 assists. He never averaged fewer than 6.0 assists in the prior three seasons.<\/p>\n

His elite passing, toughness inside, and rebounding presence address several glaring holes in Golden State\u2019s roster.<\/p>\n

Kings Facing Their Own Crisis<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sacramento\u2019s 3\u20138 start \u2014 tied for one of the worst in the West \u2014 has triggered whispers of a potential rebuild and \u201cfire sale\u201d if their fortunes don\u2019t change soon.<\/p>\n

Following a third straight defeat, a 122\u2013108 loss to Denver, Sabonis voiced his frustration.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one wants to start like this\u2026 especially with our home crowd. They deserve better,\u201d\u00a0Sabonis told reporters. \u201cI don\u2019t have any words\u2026 we just have to try and figure this out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Still, he maintained optimism: \u201cI\u2019m definitely confident. We have a lot of talent, a great coaching staff, great management\u2026 when things get tough, people go their own way, but not with this group.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a breakout October (17.5 points, 55.4% FG, 45% from three), Kuminga has cooled significantly in November, averaging 12.3 points on 41.4% shooting and 18.8% from three.<\/p>\n
