Kayla Nicole insists her viral\u00a0Halloween\u00a0costume was solely a tribute to R&B icon Toni Braxton – and not a dig at\u00a0Travis Kelce\u00a0and\u00a0Taylor Swift.<\/p>\n

Fans were convinced that Nicole, who dated Kelce on and off for five years before he found love with Swift, was\u00a0throwing shade at the NFL legend and his fiancee\u00a0after dressing up as Braxton and recreating the music video for her 2000 hit ‘He Wasn’t Man Enough For Me.’<\/p>\n

In the video, she is seen miming along to the lyrics: ‘Did you know about us back then? Do you know I dumped your husband, girlfriend?’<\/p>\n

‘I’m not thinking ’bout him \/ But you married him \/ Do you know I made him leave?<\/em><\/p>\n

‘Do you know he begged to stay with me? \/ He wasn’t man enough for me.’<\/em><\/p>\n

Despite a number of users suggesting it was a shot at Swift over Kelce, Nicole has stressed that she is ‘not in the business of tearing other women down’ after setting the record straight about her Halloween shoot.<\/p>\n

‘Halloween\u00a0is an opportunity for me not to be myself and to dress up as someone that I admire, someone that I’ve been a fan of, someone that I think is chef’s kiss,’ the 34-year-old said on\u00a0her ‘The Pre-Game’ podcast.<\/p>\n

‘You guys don’t want celebrities\u2026 to dress up as celebrities, but I’m confused because what am I supposed to do?’ she asked. ‘A doctor? Superwoman?’<\/p>\n

Nicole then took aim at those who ‘try to project their own narratives’ before saying: ‘I’m not in the business of tearing other women down. I am in the business of celebrating them.’<\/p>\n

The influencer’s tribute to Braxton came after speculation that Taylor dissed Travis’ ex on her new track Opalite – a song she\u2019s admitted is about her fiance.<\/p>\n

Lyrics in the song which read ‘You were in it for real, she was in her phone \/ And you were just a pose’ were quickly pegged as a dig at Nicole, who Kelce once publicly scolded for constantly being on her phone.<\/p>\n

In one resurfaced clip, the Kansas City Chiefs icon is heard telling her: ‘Oh my God. Get off your phone\u2026 You\u2019re not even drinking your wine anymore, can we go?’<\/p>\n

Amid her rumored beef with Swift,\u00a0Nicole was recently\u00a0forced to delete her social media\u00a0after a series of offensive posts, allegedly shared by her, emerged online.<\/p>\n

The alleged posts\u00a0were shared in 2010 and made use of ‘racist’ and ‘homophobic’ language, which was repeatedly used in reference to disenfranchised groups.<\/p>\n

According to screenshots circulating online, Nicole appeared to rant against a ‘dumb fat Mexican h**’ and in another she allegedly claimed: ‘Asian ppl rude as f***’.<\/p>\n

In another of the alleged posts, she used a homophobic slur and threatened to ‘smack the hell outta’ gay people if they act ‘bold’.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere in the thread of alleged posts, Nicole said ‘I live [sic] gay people!’ but went on to say ‘not enough’ to want a gay child herself.<\/p>\n
