All eyes are monitoring what might be next for Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies.<\/p>\n

Morant was suspended one game for \u201cconduct detrimental to the team\u201d upon his infamous postgame rant, directing everything to the coaching staff as he was asked what went wrong during his awful eight-point night.<\/p>\n

It was reported that Morant and Tuomas Iisalo have locked horns, as the Memphis head coach aggressively called out the guard’s approach and leadership.<\/p>\n

Since this issue erupted, trade speculations have suddenly appeared regarding Morant.<\/p>\n

And the noise even intensified when he recently claimed that he doesn’t have his joy from playing after his return in the team’s recent loss against the Detroit Pistons.<\/p>\n

Kendrick Perkins is convinced that ties are already severed between Morant and the Grizzlies franchise, and that the 26-year-old must be sent to the Miami Heat.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere’s no point of return. This relationship is over,\u201d Perkins said on the newest episode of the Road Trippin\u2019 Show. \u201cMemphis suspending Ja was a warning shot to say you’re not bigger than the program. You’re not bigger than the organization. We actually stood behind our coach, and that was the right move.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo again, I feel like this relationship has run its course. I do think it\u2019s time for Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies to part ways. And I do think there\u2019s only one option for Ja \u2014 only one direction he needs to go: he needs that Erik Spoelstra, Pat Riley and Miami Heat Culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

It would be intriguing to see how a polarizing player like Morant join a team like Miami, which strictly employs its renowned yet infamously strict \u201cHeat Culture\u201d that emphasizes discipline and accountability.<\/p>\n

As such, it would be even more interesting how Morant will act accordingly from Erik Spoelstra\u2019s guidance and under the lens of Pat Riley.<\/p>\n

Both Morant and the Heat are indeed polar opposites, but their potential partnership is something to watch. Miami may identify Morant as the next face of the franchise in the post-Jimmy Butler era, and being in South Beach could give the point guard a new change of scenery, redirecting his career for the better.<\/p>\n
