A jealous Queens woman flew to Florida and viciously stabbed to death her ex\u2019s new girlfriend because she was furious the other gal had blocked her on social media, a jury ruled Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Sakiyna Thompson, 31, was found guilty of first-degree murder for stabbing Kayla Hodgson, 23, dozens of times at her apartment in South Florida in July 2022, according to NBC Miami.<\/p>\n

Thompson, who was two months pregnant at the time of the attack, testified Monday that she blacked out only to suddenly gain consciousness and realize she had killed her romantic rival.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was walking in the blood,\u201d Thompson told the court in Fort Lauderdale.<\/p>\n

\u201cI killed her because she took the glass from the Hookah and slashed me across my stomach,\u201d she said, claiming she acted in self defense.\u00a0 \u201cI felt like she was trying to hurt my baby.\u201d<\/p>\n

But prosecutors said Thompson was \u201cjealous and insecure\u201d about her former lover\u2019s new girlfriend and flew to South Florida from New York a few days before the murder with the plan to confront and kill her.<\/p>\n

The conversation turned tense after Thompson asked Hodgson to talk \u201cwoman-to-woman\u201d at her home in the Tamarac Village Apartments.<\/p>\n

Thompson admitted that she changed into her victim\u2019s clothes and cleaned up some of the crime scene before leaving. NBC Miami<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Thompson later admitted to changing out of her bloody outfit and into the victim\u2019s clothes,\u00a0cleaning up some of the scene, and throwing evidence away.<\/p>\n

Broward County police found Hodgson, a waitress, dead inside her home on July 13.<\/p>\n
