The Chiefs, with their strong leadership under coach Andy Reid and star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, are in a much better position compared to the Jets, who are struggling through a tough season.<\/p>\n
The Jets are currently 3-8, while the Chiefs have been thriving, securing their 10th win of the season in a nail-biting 30-27 victory over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.<\/p>\n
In that game, Shrader was put to the test in his first major game for Kansas City. With the score tied at 27, Shrader nailed a 31-yard field goal as time expired to give the Chiefs the win.<\/p>\n
“The biggest emotion in that moment is gratitude, for the opportunity and just happy that I was able to go out and perform for the team,” Shrader said about the emotional impact of the moment.<\/p>\n
He also praised his new teammates for helping him adjust to the demands of playing for a winning team like the Chiefs.<\/p>\n
“It’s been a whirlwind for sure, but I think the thing that helps in that situation is that I’m around a group of true professionals,” Shrader added.<\/p>\n
