Kelce still had one epic year. He found the love of his life in Taylor Swift, and the couple announced their engagement in August. Kelce proposed to the 35-year-old pop star after she appeared on his \u201cNew Heights\u201d in August. During her record-breaking guest appearance on the show, Swift first announced her new album, \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl,\u201d and its October 3rd release date.<\/p>\n

The All-Pro tight end inspired numerous songs on the 12-track album, which is already making history. Billboard reported that \u201cThe Life of a Showgirl\u201d sold 2.7 million copies in traditional album sales, marking Swift\u2019s biggest week ever. The only album with a bigger opening is Adele\u2019s \u201c25,\u201d which sold 3.378 million copies in its first week back in 2015.<\/p>\n

While Swift continues to break new records in the music industry, however, Kelce got some disappointing news regarding his podcast.<\/p>\n

After the Golden Globes announced that they were adding a \u201cBest Podcast\u201d category to the show in 2026, \u201cNew Heights\u201d immediately reacted with interest.<\/p>\n

The show won the 2025 iHeartPodcast Award in the Best Sports category, beating out \u201cThe Herd with Colin Cowherd,\u201d \u201cThe Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz,\u201d \u201cThe Bill Simmons Podcast,\u201d and \u201cAll The Smoke.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNew Heights\u201d won Podcast of the Year at the iHeartPodcast Awards in 2024 and remains one of the top sports podcasts in the nation. With the show\u2019s continuous stream of star-studded guests, \u201cNew Heights\u201d seemed to have a solid shot at being considered for a Golden Globe.<\/p>\n

However, the 25 finalists for the \u201cBest Podcast\u201d award were announced, and \u201cNew Heights\u201d did not make the cut. The Hollywood Reporter revealed the following podcasts remain eligible to win the Golden Globe:<\/p>\n

And \u201cNew Heights\u201d getting a shoutout on Swift\u2019s track, \u201cWood,\u201d likely means more to the Chiefs star.<\/p>\n

Swift told BBC 1 Radio that she played all of her new songs for Kelce after recording them with Max Martin and Shellback.<\/p>\n
