Substitute Mikel Merino levelled things with six minutes of normal time remaining before Gabriel grabbed all three points for Arsenal deep into stoppage time. After the final whistle, Joelinton \u2013 who\u2019d been brought off prior to the away side\u2019s winner \u2013 made a beeline for Gunners coach Miguel Molina.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian midfielder confronted Molina, pushing him before Arteta stepped in to defuse the situation. Newcastle coach Simon Weatherstone then led Joelinton away.<\/p>\n

Arteta attempted to smooth things over by offering to shake hands with the infuriated 29-year-old, who was still upset about the events that had transpired. Joelinton appeared no less agitated, as he walked away from the Gunners boss.<\/p>\n
There were no such frustrations for Arteta, whose team are now second in the table, two points behind title rivals Liverpool.<\/p>\n
