Cowboys get optimistic DaRon Bland injury update before Packers game<\/h3>\n

The Cowboys’ defense has been a sieve through three weeks but Dallas is hopeful that CB DaRon Bland can return in Week 4.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Chicago Bears limped into their Week 3 game against the\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0with an 0-2 record under new head coach Ben Johnson. But Dallas proved a get-right matchup for Chicago. The Bears took advantage of the Cowboys\u2019 31st ranked passing defense as\u00a0Caleb Williams threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns, leading Chicago to a 31-14 win in Week 3.Trevon Diggs\u00a0was able to play through a knee issue but\u00a0left the game with a shoulder injury. Meanwhile the Cowboys\u2019 other top cornerback was sidelined for the second-straight week, as\u00a0DaRon Bland sat out with a foot ailment.<\/p>\n

However, on Monday Dallas received a positive update on the All-Pro defensive back. Head coach Brian Schottenheimer\u00a0told reporters\u00a0that Bland is progressing in his rehab and \u201ctrending to play\u201d in Week 4, per DLLS Cowboys.<\/p>\n
