Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>\u00a0HC Andy Reid provided the perfect update on S Bryan Cook after a scary-looking injury in the Week 3 win over the\u00a0New York Giants<\/a>\u00a0on \u201cSunday Night Football.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cook was going for what would have been the Chiefs\u2019 third interception of the night on a third-and-6 pass from Russell Wilson to Giants WR Malik Nabers with just under 15 minutes to go in the fourth quarter. Nabers went to prevent the interception in the air and grabbed Cook\u2019s head forcefully. Cook then landed on his head and immediately went to grab his neck. Nabers also landed hard and was injured on the play.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Cook was down in the end zone and attended to by the Chiefs\u2019 training staff after that pass breakup. Chiefs HC Andy Reid even came out to check on Cook, which is never a good sign. Cook was ultimately able to get up and walk off the field on his own. He was ruled questionable to return with a neck injury.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, Cook did eventually return to the game late during the fourth quarter with just over three minutes left in the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cI really don\u2019t have any injuries,\u201d Reid told reporters following the game. \u201cBryan Cook was okay at the end of it, so everybody else made it through.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Cook to come out on the other side of this no worse for wear is excellent news for Kansas City, especially after such a scary-looking play and reaction from Cook.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Chiefs HC Andy Reid didn\u2019t provide an update on DE Charles Omenihu, which was also a positive sign. Omenihu left the game after taking a brutal shot to the chest from Giants RB Cam Skattebo on a chip block.<\/p>\n
