BREAKING NEWS: It was a very difficult decision for me to make to I had to because the circumstances surrounding my contract\u201d, William Saliba have officially signed pre contract agreement to join Real Madrid by the summer \u2013 Decision made today after having One on One discussion with Andrea Berta<\/p>\n

Real Madrid haven\u2019t given up on Arsenal\u2019s William Saliba even though they didn\u2019t make an approach for him in the summer window.<\/p>\n

On Friday, AS reported the La Liga club have identified the Arsenal player and Liverpool\u2019s Ibrahima Konat\u00e9 as their main options to strengthen the centre-back position next summer.<\/p>\n

They also said Real Madrid will have a trump card to sign Saliba if he doesn\u2019t extend his contract at Arsenal beyond 2027.<\/p>\n

El Desmarque now report the Spanish giants have a great desire to sign the defender next summer, and look at their chances of taking him away from the Gunners.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s claimed Los Blancos are searching the market for a young defender with international experience, available for a reasonable price. Konat\u00e9 turns 27 next May and although his age doesn\u2019t fit, he\u2019s a candidate because his contract expires in 2026.<\/p>\n

The report states Xabi Alonso\u2019s side dream of signing the Arsenal star but are well aware it\u2019ll be complicated. There\u2019s already been claims elsewhere of the Gunners offering an extension and Saliba rejecting it.<\/p>\n

El Desmarque relay that and then report Real Madrid are eager to sign Saliba, who seems \u2018willing to seek a new project\u2019. His age and experience make him a perfect fit for the La Liga club.<\/p>\n

They find his \u20ac80m price to be high and the report say Real Madrid could negotiate with Mikel Arteta\u2019s side to lower that figure. Whether they\u2019ll succeed remains to be seen, but the Spanish club have a desire to sign both Saliba and Konat\u00e9.<\/p>\n
