In the aftermath of the Chiefs\u2019 Week 2 loss, debate flared over the Eagles\u2019 repeated use of the \u201cTush Push\u201d play, especially in short-yardage and goal-line situations. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid and several Chiefs players claimed the Eagles committed multiple uncalled false starts during those attempts.<\/p>\n

This is the clearest sign yet that the league is recognizing the uproar and its impact on competitive balance. For Kansas City, the fallout is real. Defensive tackle Chris Jones said several Eagles players were\u00a0\u201cjumping\u201d<\/em>\u00a0before the snap but weren\u2019t flagged.<\/p>\n

\u201cOfficials can\u2019t get every call,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0Jones admitted.\u00a0\u201cSometimes they\u2019re 15, 20 feet away and can miss small movements.\u00a0We observed multiple jumps, but the official didn\u2019t see it. We have to move on and play the next down.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

The Chiefs had to pay for it right away.<\/p>\n

In the fourth quarter, with Kansas City down 13-10, tight end Travis Kelce deflected a Patrick Mahomes pass on the goal line. Andrew Mukuba intercepted and returned it 41 yards. Philadelphia answered on the next series with Jalen Hurts\u2019 touchdown on the \u201cTush Push,\u201d increasing its advantage to 20-10.<\/p>\n
