Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce\u00a0announced their engagement\u00a0on Aug. 26, 2025, and just days after, a source close to them told\u00a0People<\/em>\u00a0on August 31 that they would not be rushing their engagement era.<\/p>\n

\u201cTaylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement,\u201d the insider said. \u201cThey are not in the wedding planning phase yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the weeks since, Kelce has touched a little on their initial thoughts around the ceremony, and sources have spoken as well about what they are thinking. Here, all we know so far about their plans.<\/p>\n

Swift and Kelce will \u201ctake their time\u201d before marrying.<\/h2>\n

On Aug. 31, 2025, a source close to the pair told\u00a0People\u00a0<\/em>that they are in no hurry to have their wedding.\u00a0\u201cRight now they just want to enjoy being engaged, and they are going to take their time with it,\u201d the insider said. \u201cIt has been a relief not having to keep it [their engagement] a secret anymore, and they are glad it is out in the open.\u201d<\/p>\n

They will not be having a big, public wedding.<\/h2>\n

A source told\u00a0People\u00a0<\/em>on September 9 that the couple has decided against making their wedding public.\u00a0\u201c[They] want to keep it more private,\u201d the insider said. \u201cIt will definitely be a private affair and not a spectacle. They both have a close circle of friends, and they\u2019ll respect their privacy.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple has already made a decision on wedding music.<\/h2>\n

During the September 17 episode of\u00a0New Heights<\/em>, Kelce\u2019s guest Jimmy Fallon\u00a0asked\u00a0about the couple\u2019s planning so far. \u201cAre you gonna do DJ or band? Are you thinking about all this stuff?\u201d Fallon asked.<\/p>\n

Kelce replied, \u201cYeah, I think we\u2019re live music kind of people, you know?\u201d The choice makes sense given Kelce organizes\u00a0his Kelce Jam music festival\u00a0and Swift is a performer by trade.<\/p>\n

Kelce said wedding planning with Swift will be easier than playing football.<\/h2>\n

During his September 17 episode, Kelce\u00a0told\u00a0guest Jimmy Fallon that wedding planning was the \u201cnext step\u201d for him and Swift. He expressed optimism that the process would not be difficult with his partner.<\/p>\n
