Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, and soon-to-be husband of Taylor Swift, has a side gig that’s really paying off.
Following the Kansas City Chiefs‘ loss to the Los Angeles Charges, which was an upset and quite unexpected, Travis Kelce has kept a bit of a low profile, but he and Taylor Swift are still the center of attention. The two, of course, are now engaged, so they have a wedding to plan. It’s not all about football, but for Chiefs Kingdom, it is, at least on the field.
Kelce may retire after this season, since he’s getting up there in age at 35 years old. Not that 25 is old, but it’s older for a player in the NFL. Besides, Kelce has a lot of endeavors outside of the NFL, and retirement will give him a chance to really spread his wings.
One of his side endeavors is his podcast with his brother Jason, the Jason, the “New Heights” podcast. But, he has a few things on the side with Jason, and one of those businesses is impressing people with the amount of money that it’s worth. So, Travis Kelce and his brother are really making good on the whole side gig thing.
Travis Kelce and Jason Have a Lucrative Side Gig
Garage Beer, the line of light beers that Travis and Jason became co-owners of in June 2024, is now valued at $200 million in its first institutional round of fundraising, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
Not only that, but the beer line is on target to make between $60 million and $70 million just this year, according to Chief Executive Andy Sauer. In 2024, Garage Beer made $20 million, so this is quite a jump.
Garage Beer offers just two styles of beer: Classic Light and Lime, both with 4 percent ABV and 95 calories. It’s popular with younger drinkers, and according to the WSJ, the beer line “makes it a priority to respond to every social-media message and interact with consumers through billboards and events. The brand has a large following among younger legal-age drinkers, including millennials and Gen Z.”
How Travis Kelce Has Impacted Taylor Swift Since Dating
Before news of the engagement broke, Kelce did an interview and graced the cover of GQ magazine. He is the September 2025 cover for the publication, and in it, he gives an in-depth interview.
He says that it’s cool to be with Swift because “I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan. I’m a fan of music. I’m a fan of art. And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field…. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.”
Is there a special way that Kelce changed Swift? Well, He’s made her a football fan. Now, of course, she’s a big Kansas City Chiefs fan. “I sort of made her a football fan,” Kelce states. “She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like. She understands what special situations are, third and short—all these things because she just naturally loves to hear about my job.”
So, now, Swift is in Chiefs Kingdom for life. She’s brought a few million of her listeners with her, too.
