All-Star guard takes swipe at Draymond Green

Warriors' Draymond Green named All-Star reserve, but won't go to Cleveland

One NBA All-Star is calling a spade a spade when it comes to Draymond Green.

San Antonio Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox appeared this week on FanDuel TV’s “Run It Back.” During the show, the topic of the biggest complainers in the NBA came up.

Fox specifically zeroed in on the Warriors star Green as the league’s biggest complainer.

“Draymond will clothesline you and then look at the ref like, ‘What’d I do?’” said Fox.

Fox also agreed with interviewer Lou Williams’ assertion that Luka Doncic is a big complainer as well, noting that “Luka’s up there.” However, Fox did add that complaining to the referees can sometimes be warranted, saying that “reffing is god-awful at times.”

You can watch the full clip of Fox’s remarks here.

The 2023 All-Star Fox is very familiar with Green’s game, having previously played in the Warriors’ division as the former star player of the Sacramento Kings. The two teams also met during a head-to-head playoff matchup in 2023 with Green drawing backlash in the middle of the series for a dirty play on Fox’s then-co-star Domantas Sabonis. Then later on in that very same series, Green pulled a suspicious move on Fox himself.

One of the main criticisms by fans of the four-time NBA champion Green (other than his dirty on-court behavior) is that he gets an extremely long leash when complaining to the referees. Now we know that some of Green’s NBA peers feel the same way too, particularly his former Pacific Division rival Fox.
