Bulls receive good news surrounding former first round pick

Chicago Bulls Paying Billy Donovan Over $6 Million A Year To Be Head Coach

The Chicago Bulls’ ongoing dilemma concerning guard Josh Giddey has been at a stalemate for quite some time now.

The two sides are trying to reach agreements, but nothing seems to be satisfactory for either side, as Giddey has repeatedly requested a $30 million deal, while Chicago is trying to keep it around the $20 million line.

However, according to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Bulls fans do not need to worry, as he is confident that the two sides will reach an agreement in time for the 2025-26 season.

Will Giddey and the Bulls Agree?

In the latest report from the analyst, he gives the Windy City fanbase a breath of fresh air about the situation.

“All indications from Chicago this summer are that the Bulls and Josh Giddey will find common ground on a new, long-term contract that keeps him as one of the building blocks of the franchise,” Siegel said. “If there is a deal to be had here between Chicago and the Aussie, it’s expected to be a four-year contract in the $80 million to $90 million range.”

It may not be what the Australian star has in mind, but then again, he’s only played four years in the pros.

Giddey averaged 14.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 7.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in the 2024-25 season, while playing in 70 games (69 starts) for Chicago.

He was traded to Chicago from the Oklahoma City Thunder last year in exchange for guard Alex Caruso.
