BREAKING NEWS: Kyle Walker names the shocking Tottenham player who trains better than anyone at Man City.

Kyle Walker names the shocking Tottenham player who trains better than anyone at Man City.

All in all, before his switch to Manchester City, Kyle Walker made 229 appearances for Tottenham Hotspur, eventually leaving the club in 2017.

Walker was delighted to join Man City to work with Pep Guardiola, who he felt could take his game to the next level after leaving Tottenham.

Of course, 310 appearances and six Premier League titles later, Walker’s decision has been justified, a player who has won it all in Manchester.

That being said, when speaking on his self-titled podcast recently, it wasn’t a City teammate who Walker chose as the best trainer he’s seen in his career.

Kyle Walker says Danny Rose was incredibly professional at Tottenham

Walker harped back to his Tottenham days and actually gave a ton of credit to Danny Rose, who was often his opposing full-back in N17.

Now retired, Rose made 214 appearances himself for Spurs, a player who will always be fondly remembered at the club.

That being said, Walker provided some insight into Rose’s approach behind the scenes on the podcast, paying him a huge compliment.

Walker said: “I promise you, he is the best trainer I have ever seen in football ever. It was 110% every time.

“I’m not saying he’s the best trainer and he can’t play football. On Saturday, he was still good.

“First one in training, all the time, he’d be doing his stuff and be the best trainer every day and if you played for Tottenham you couldn’t tell me otherwise.

“My last season with me and him on the wings was a joy.”

Why did Danny Rose leave Tottenham?

After retiring, Rose admitted that he could have joined Chelsea instead of Tottenham, a move that would have led to a very different career.

That being said, Rose still ended up playing under one of Chelsea’s most iconic managers, Jose Mourinho.

And it was Mourinho’s decision to leave Rose on the sidelines which eventually led to the defender’s decision to leave.

Speaking on the Spurs ‘All or Nothing’ documentary, Mourinho was quite candid when he explained to Rose why he wasn’t playing.

Mourinho said: “Let me try to be as open as I can with you, because I think you deserve that.

“When I arrived, you played some matches, you were on the bench some matches, I didn’t select you in other matches.

“The week before Liverpool you were fantastic in training and that made me decide that in the most difficult game against the most difficult opponent, you play.

“I think you didn’t play well. The next game against Middlesbrough [Japhet] Tanganga played so well, and is so strong defensively, and doesn’t make any kind of mistakes because he’s so fast and so powerful.

“I cannot say, you’re going to be first choice, you’re going to play every match. It depends on you.”
