Arsenal have made a €10 million bid for Palmeiras centre-back Luiz Benedetti.

The Gunners are aiming to bolster their central defensive department before the transfer window closes.

Jakub Kiwior is pushing for a move to Porto, but a deal could depend on Arsenal’s pursuit of Piero Hincapie.

The club are negotiating with Bayer Leverkusen for the player. If they receive the green light, Kiwior could move on.

Amidst this, TV Espírito de Porco claim that Arsenal have offered €10m to purchase Palmeiras’ Benedetti.

The Brazilian outfit are seeking at least €15m including bonuses. The Gunners have not made a renewed proposal.

Benedetti could be targeted as a future prospect
Arsenal were keen on landing Vitor Reis from Palmeiras, but they were beaten to his signature by Manchester City last winter.

Reis was promised to be a first-team player at the time, but the teenager has been loaned out to Girona for the ongoing campaign.

His former Palmeiras teammate Benedetti was likewise linked with a move to Europe.

Arsenal have probably been monitoring him and could make a fresh proposal before the deadline.

The 19-year-old is a strong ball-playing centre-back and has a passing accuracy of 93 percent this term.

The left-footed ace has a towering presence at 6 feet 6 inches and has won 71 percent of his aerial duels.

Benedetti has also caught the eye with his recovery pace and ability to clear his lines effectively.

Arsenal are pushing to sign Hincapie as Kiwior’s successor, but we won’t be surprised if they also pursue a deal for Benedetti, given his immense potential.

Aside from Benedetti, the Gunners have also been linked with a move for Girona right-back Arnau Martinez and have already made an opening bid.
