The Golden State Warriors have finally made a move during the offseason, but it’s not a big one.

According to Michael Scotto, Golden State and Taevion Kinsey have agreed to a deal, although the specifics of it aren’t known.

Kinsey was on a 10-day and two-way contract with the Utah Jazz in 2024 and was recently selected for the NBA G League team in the 2025 FIBA Intercontinental Cup.

After playing college ball for Marshall, Kinsey was undrafted in 2023, before he joined the Jazz’s Summer League squad.

He then signed a 10-day deal with Utah in 2024, but never actually played a game with them.

He hasn’t been able to show his skills in the league yet, but Kinsey was a great college talent and became Marshall’s all-time leading scorer.

What will he be able to do for the Warriors?

In all likelihood, he probably won’t suit up much for Golden State, and most analysts agree that he won’t get time on the court.

Instead, he could perform for their G League team and possibly appear during the regular season, although he’ll probably spend most of his time on the bench.

The Warriors have been stubborn during this offseason, and this is their first transaction, but fans are hoping it won’t be the last.

There have been endless rumors about them moving Jonathan Kuminga or signing players like Al Horford, Malcolm Brogdon, and others.

Is this move with Kinsey the first domino to fall, and will the Warriors now get to work and make some noise in the offseason?
