Los Angeles Lakers superstar Luka Dončić suffered an injury on Saturday.
Playing for Slovenia in an exhibition against Kristaps Porzingis and Latvia, Dončić came up limping in the third quarter after a teammate was inadvertently pushed into him.
The Athletic’s Dan Woike was the first to report the Dončić injury.
“Luka Dončić was able to walk to the locker room on his own during a Slovenian game but he was favoring his right leg after a teammate was pushed into him,” Woike posted to X. “We’ll see if he returns in the second half of this exhibition against Latvia.”
Shortly thereafter, Woike provided a promising update for Lakers fans. “Source tells me that he’s avoided any serious injury on the play,” Woike wrote.
