Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry remains calm as his team continues to be the only NBA squad that has not made any offseason signings or trades, according to Sam Gordon of The San Francisco Chronicle.
The Warriors’ roster moves are on hold while the front office works to resolve a stalemate with restricted free agent forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Meanwhile, Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton are reportedly planning to join the Warriors as soon as they can. Curry, however, is unfazed, with training camp still about six weeks away.
“It’s different, for sure,” he told reporters. “But my confidence is built on the identity we were able to create over the last third of the regular season last year and the playoff journey.”
“We have a really good team,” Curry added, while acknowledging the “need for some pieces to help get us to the next level.”
Curry himself is preparing for his 17th NBA season after averaging 24.5 points on 39.7% three-point shooting, along with 4.4 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game last season.
