Too far? Bills fans bizarrely hang a Patrick Mahomes Kermit doll on the streets of Buffalo

Patrick Mahomes‘ rivalry with Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen was the battle every football fan was waiting to watch in Week 11. But the Kansas City Chiefs superstar knew trying to win in front of the fame Bills Mafia and the hostile environment was a difficult task.

That hostile environment proved to have a major impact in the game as Patrick Mahomes threw two interceptions which led to them losing against the Buffalo Bills.

The sound pressure levels inside Highmark Stadium shot through the roof as the Bills Mafia rejoiced in their collective efforts.

But the collective efforts from those fans in Buffalo, New York started much earlier. A photograph circulating social media shows Bills fans heading down the road towards Highmark Stadium. But from a pole, they seemingly hanged a Kermit the Frog doll.

Bizarrely, that doll was wearing a Mahomes no. 15 Chiefs jersey- suggesting they took the Las Vegas Raiders troll of the three-time Super Bowl MVP to the next level. Bills fans might have seemingly had their share of fun, but reactions to the same were not.

Almost everyone reacting to this now viral post were taking shots at the Bills Mafia. They felt the fans took hostility to a direction they should not have. On the other hand, some felt that it is how sporting fans react ahead of rival games.

This act might come to the attention of the Chiefs and the NFL. Whether or not this results in some reprimands is unknown. The Bills won the game 30-21 to break the Kansas City Chiefs’ unbeaten run, however, the most important game will come during the playoffs.

Patrick Mahomes could return the favor in the playoffs

Entering this season, many expected the Buffalo Bills to have a down year. They lost quite a few top-tier talent and were left with a young squad to lean on. But those same fans and analysts have watched Josh Allen lead the well-coached team to a now 9-2 record.

They also have a favorable bye week with a few of their starters struggling with injuries. Returning from the bye, they will face three strong opponents. But then, their last three games are against bottom feeder teams. This sets them up to limit the playing time of their starters with the playoffs coming up.

On the other hand, the Kansas City Chiefs have quite the opposite and will face tougher opponents up until the playoffs. In what could seem like the perfect script could backfire for the Bills. As everything points towards another AFC championship battle between the two.

When the going gets tough, almost everyone in the football world knows Patrick Mahomes and his team are as clutch as they get. If he manages to win that battle, the three-time Super Bowl winner will probably have the last laugh.
