Chicago Bulls have no plans to trade Coby White despite offseason interest from multiple teams.
The Chicago Bulls have made it clear they want to keep Coby White despite trade interest this offseason.
“I know multiple teams tried to trade for Coby this summer,” an NBA executive told Ashish Mathur of Dallas Hoops Journal.
“There was some chatter that he was almost traded on draft night. The Bulls love him though… They have shot down trade inquiries for him.”
White, the No. 7 pick in 2019, has developed into Chicago’s main offensive weapon, averaging 20.4 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.7 rebounds in the 2024-25 season.
Although White is on a bargain three-year, $36 million deal signed in 2023 and cannot extend at market value until 2026, the Bulls are committed to keeping him.
They plan to use his Bird rights to re-sign him next summer rather than risk trading him.
