Grade the Trade Proposal: Bills pay big time to add Micah Parsons for Super Bowl run

One of the biggest headlines from the offseason that is now the biggest storyline surrounds Dallas Cowboys’ star edge rusher Micah Parsons and his future in Dallas. With having a Hall of Fame-like career up to this point, you would think that the Cowboys would do whatever it takes to make sure Parsons is in Dallas for the long haul.

Instead, we are witnessing one of the most interesting storylines in awhile about how there is tension between Parsons and the Cowboys on a new extension. Parsons has already requested a trade out of Dallas, which is what players have done before when they are in the middle of a contract dispute.

Now we are seeing a lot of trade proposals that analysts and fans are making on what it could take for a team to land the future Hall of Famer. Well, former NFL general manager Mike Tannenbaum created a trade proposal that involved the Buffalo Bills and Cowboys that would send Parsons to Buffalo, while the Bills give up a big time haul.

Former GM creates huge trade proposal between Bills and Cowboys for Micah Parsons

On the show Get Up, Tannenbaum listed three trade proposals for three different teams that involved Parsons, and the Bills were one of the three (along with the Lions and Buccaneers). Tannenbaum’s trade proposal involving Buffalo was the Bills sending defensive tackle Ed Oliver and two first-round picks in exchange for Parsons.

Don’t get me wrong, any team in the NFL should want a player like Parsons. He is averaging 14 sacks per year and is already a two-time All-Pro. At just 26 years old, he’s entering his prime and you have to think that he can grow even more as a player.

At the same time, he’s more than likely going to want to get paid big time. Yes, even more than guys like Myles Garrett and T.J. Watt, both who received massive extensions this past offseasons. The Bills simply don’t have the money to give to a player of Parsons’ caliber, not to mention, I find extremely unlikely that the Bills would part ways with someone like Oliver who they drafted and developed, as well as send away two future first round picks.

Buffalo values their draft picks. Plus, they proved this offseason that they prioritize development and extending their draft picks. With Oliver being one of them, it’s hard to see him being sent somewhere else.

While it’s great to dream about what it would be like to have Parsons on the Bills as they prepare their Super Bowl run, it’s highly unlikely that we see this pairing come true.
