“It’s not just with me, it’s with a lot of the guys. I’m not the only one that heard that. You guys aren’t the only people that heard that,” Tua Tagovailoa said. “A lot of people that follow football, that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek that are fans of his — everyone has seen that. So, when you say something like that, you don’t just come back from that with, ‘Hey, my bad.’ You got to work that relationship up; you’ve got to build everything back up again.”
Hill has since tried to show maturity and a renewed commitment to the Dolphins. However, that hasn’t stopped other teams from checking in on his status — and trade rumors are starting to circulate again.
“I have talked to a few teams who are at least monitoring his future a little bit. Could he be a potential trade target?” ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler said. “Now, I know the Dolphins earlier this summer were telling teams, ‘No, we’re not trading Tyreek Hill.’ But they just wonder, is he going to be available? It could be wishful thinking, maybe they want him to be available.”
One trade idea making the rounds would send Hill back to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for Hollywood Brown.
“After making strong investments at the position, the Kansas City Chiefs have no shortage of depth at receiver. While Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy are long-term building blocks, the Chiefs may feel comfortable including Hollywood Brown in a trade if it means reuniting Patrick Mahomes with Tyreek Hill again,” Sportsnaut’s Andrew Buller-Russ wrote.
