Taylor Swift gave the shock of a lifetime to her fans early Tuesday morning as she announced her 12th studio album on her boyfriend’s podcast.
Swift, sitting alongside her beau, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, pulled out a “TS” briefcase in a video teaser for the New Heights podcast that Kelce runs with his brother: Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
Swift starts out in the now viral clip by saying, “So, I want to show you something.”
Jason tilts his head, replying, “Okay, what do we got?”
Out of the briefcase comes a blurred-out album cover.
“This is my brand-new album ‘The Life of a Showgirl,” Swift said, Jason erupting into cheers.
“TS 12” Travis called out
The teaser dropped on the official New Heights podcast Instagram account — @newheightshow — at precisely 12:12 a.m. on Aug. 12, aptly in honor of Swift’s 12th album.
The official pre preorder (yes, the preorder has a preorder) is officially available for fans to purchase on Swift’s website. The official release date has yet to be released, but no doubt more information will spill out during the latest episode of New Heights.
The podcast episode featuring Swift debuts Wednesday, and can be found on a variety of platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Wondery, and Apple Podcasts.
Swift and Kelce’s romance reached year two this summer after the couple made it official back in the summer of 2023.
The whirlwind collide of football and musical stardom may have been a bit rough for respective fans at first, but it appears that most of the animosity has died down.
