Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James’ next career move has been one of the most talked-about topics in the NBA this offseason.

One league executive also revealed why trade talks are almost impossible with LeBron at this stage, and the reason is simple.
“He never requested a trade, and he makes way too much money,” the executive explained via the Dallas Hoops Journal.
Last season, the 40-year-old LeBron played in 70 games, averaging 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game, proving he still has plenty to offer on the court.
James is set to earn $52.6 million in 2025–26, the final year of his current deal with the Lakers.
