Baron Davis, Iman Shumpert on if Boston Celtics icon Larry Bird would excel in today’s NBA

Most fans of the Boston Celtics have heard the argument before, and many more than a few times from entirely different sources: Would Hall of Fame Celtics small forward Larry Bird thrive in the modern NBA? But now we have some new entrants into the debate in the form of former NBAers Iman Shumpert and Baron Davis, taking their own deep dive into whether the Hick From French Lick (as Bird was sometimes called as a nickname) would have been a star in the NBA of today for the “Iman Amongst Men” podcast.

As part of their debate, they use a series of thought experiments pitting Bird against modern stars for their counterfactual discussion.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about Larry Legend’s likelihood of success in today’s Association.
