Tottenham fans were quick to voice a unified reaction after a surprise transfer update emerged linking the club with Manchester City winger Savinho.

Fabrizio Romano revealed on 10 August that Tottenham have opened “club-to-club talks” with Manchester City in a bid to sign winger Savinho.

Savinho joined City last summer from fellow City Football Group side Troyes in a deal worth around £30million. He became a regular in Pep Guardiola’s squad, making 48 appearances in his debut campaign, though he found the net just three times.

Despite his modest goal return, many Man City fans were impressed with Savinho’s performances, with some even suggesting Jack Grealish should make way given the Brazilian’s impact and increasing role in the squad.

With Rayan Cherki arriving from Lyon earlier this window and his capability of operating out wide, Savinho could see his minutes reduced next season, potentially paving the way for an exit.
