Zach Bryan will never be Taylor Swift. He refuses. The country music singer made a vow to never sell his Philadelphia Eagles fandom while alienating his Kansas City following.
Bryan got into a back and forth with fans on social media. He went as far as to promise to never play in Arrowhead Stadium again.
Bryan, who’s from Oklahoma, is an avid Eagles supporter. He thanks his granddad for his fandom. “My grandfather hated the Cowboys,” he said of his NFL loyalty.
The singer’s caught some flak for his trash talk in the past, most notably following a tweet reading, “Eagles > Chiefs / Kanye > Taylor [Swift].”
He later apologized and deactivated his account.
Less than a year later, that account is again active, as is his hatred of the Kansas City Chiefs.

Chiefs fans came at Bryan hard in defense of their team. The singer retaliated with threats to remove any of his Kansas City related links, including songs and upcoming shows.

T-Swift is all Chiefs.
Despite growing up in a Philadelphia Eagles household, she’s now more synonymous with the Kansas City Chiefs due to her relationship with tight end Travis Kelce.
Arrowhead Stadium seems like a second home during the falls as she’s often spotted watching from a box alongside Kelce’s family.
She was loudly booed by Eagles fans after turning her back on the Philadelphia affiliation at Super Bowl LIX.
These two situations are not apples to apples. Swift’s Kansas City fandom is linked directly to her current relationship. Zach Bryan has no reason to support anyone other than the Eagles.
Still, Swift chose sides at the most recent Super Bowl. She’s been embraced by the Chiefs and cast aside by Philly. Bryan is doing his part to ensure the opposite happens for him.
