As the 2025-26 season approaches, one team that continues to be in the news is the Golden State Warriors.
This is mainly due to the ongoing saga between them and restricted free agent Jonathan Kuminga, which has caused them to miss out on multiple free agent targets this summer.
Of course, the Warriors have failed to make any additions to their roster outside of the 2025 draft, which was not expected to be the case as many believed they were going to be aggressive to upgrade their roster around Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green.
Despite this, the Warriors do still have time to make some additions to their roster before the star of the 2025-26 season on October 21 where they will travel to face the LeBron James and Luka Doncic led Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Charania also reported that the Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks on Christmas Day as the fourth game of the five-game slate across ESPN and ABC.
Of course, this matchup will be headlined by the Warriors star trio of Curry, Green and Butler going up against Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and Cooper Flagg.
For the Warriors, this will be a great test for them as the Mavericks are expected to be one of the top teams in the West next season even without their star point guard Kyrie Irving who is set to miss most of next season with a torn ACL.
For the Warriors, they are coming off an up-and-down season last year that changed for the good after they added Butler at the trade deadline.
Despite this, Golden State failed to make it out of the second round of the playoffs after an untimely injury to Curry that saw them fall to the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games.
The Warriors will now look to chase a championship next season but they first need to settle some things surrounding their franchise this offseason before the start of next season.
