BREAKING: Arsenal 7th summer signing spotted at Colney this morning as He’s set to undergo His medical in the coming hours – Welcome big player

Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze is reportedly prioritising joining Arsenal this summer, as per Football London.

The Gunners finished second in the last three Premier League campaigns. However, they challenged for the league title properly in the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, as Liverpool won the title pretty comfortably last term.

The North London club have spent big money this summer to hand Mikel Arteta the necessary tools to finally become the Premier League champions next campaign.

However, they have had a mixed pre-season thus far. They even struggled against Villarreal at the Emirates Stadium last night, losing the game 3-2, with Arsenal’s goal coming from a set-piece and a penalty. Arsenal were toothless in front of the goal at times and looked vulnerable in transition.

Now, Football London report that although Arsenal have already spent around £200m and have signed Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres to bolster the attack, they still want a new forward.

Eze is on their radar as Arteta is a ‘big fan’ of him. The 27-year-old has placed himself on the radar of other clubs as well, but he is prioritising a move to the Emirates Stadium.

Eze to Arsenal
Eze has a £68m release clause, and Crystal Palace want £35m upfront to let their star man leave with his existing deal set to run until 2027. However, Arsenal are currently planning to offload a few players first before making a move to sign the Englishman.

Eze enjoyed a productive campaign last term, scoring 14 goals and registering 12 assists across all competitions. Moreover, he guided his team to win the FA Cup.

He is an experienced Premier League-proven player. Moreover, he can play multiple positions; therefore, he would be a great coup for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually manage to secure his service before the end of this transfer window.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have a tough run of fixtures in the first few weeks of the Premier League. After visiting Old Trafford in the opening game, they will travel to Anfield in the third game. Moreover, Arteta’s side will face off against Manchester City and Newcastle United at St James’ Park within the first six games.
