Manchester United Complete Double Transfer Signing as €150M Striker and Goalkeeper Finish Medicals Today

Manchester United are reportedly moving closer to securing the signature of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko. The club is believed to have made an offer worth €75 million with an additional €10 million in potential add-ons. Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that United have already reached a full agreement on personal terms with the Slovenian forward.

Sesko, who is 22 years old, is said to be eager to join United and is expected to agree to a long-term contract running until June 2030. However, negotiations are still underway between United and Leipzig regarding the final details of the transfer structure. Sesko impressed last season by scoring 21 goals across all competitions.

Christopher Vivell, United’s director of recruitment, has played a major role in pushing the deal forward. Despite competition from Newcastle United, who reportedly made two bids, Sesko is understood to have made up his mind about joining the Red Devils.

Though Sesko is widely regarded as a rising star with immense potential, he still has areas of his game that need development. His physicality—standing at 6ft 5in—would bring a dominant aerial presence to United’s attack. While he’s capable of scoring spectacular goals, his consistency and sharpness in front of goal still require work.

If he arrives, Sesko is expected to lead the line under the current head coach, though this could cast doubt over the futures of both Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee. Hojlund struggled with form last season, managing only four goals in the league, while Zirkzee may be better suited to a deeper role in the squad.

Sesko could potentially become United’s third big-name signing this summer, following reports linking the club to Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. However, many of these reports remain unverified or speculative, and no official confirmation has been made regarding any of the aforementioned deals.
