In a post on Instagram, Quinn Ewers’ sister made public her choice to commit to the University of the Incarnate Word for D1 volleyball. People supported her, including Ewers’ girlfriend, Madelyne Barnes.

Teddy Raye Ewers, the younger sister of Quinn Ewers, quarterback for the Miami Dolphins has announced her commitment to play Division I volleyball at the University of the Incarnate Word Cardinals. She made the announcement via Instagram in a red UIW T-shirt and stated she was grateful for the opportunity to play at the highest level in collegiate see level.
“Most importantly, I want to thank God for the gifts He’s given me, for blessing me with the ability to play the sport I love and the faith to guide me through this journey,” she added. “I can’t wait for this next chapter! Go Cardinals!”
The announcement also sparked an outpouring of love from her family. Quinn Ewers, soon-to-be NFL quarterback with the Dolphins this fall, was among the first to comment. “Let’s go TR! Big-time! Dreams to reality,” he commented on his sister’s post.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill also commented, and Quinn’s girlfriend, Madelyne Barnes, commented, “Woohoo, congrats!! You’re amazing! Can’t wait to root for you!!”

Ewers will make her way to UIW ahead of the fall semester to join a Cardinals team in the Southland Conference. Ewers has plenty of high-school experience with Carroll Senior High in Southlake, Texas, where she became one of the best players in the state of Texas, with several programs offering her Division I volleyball opportunities.
Quinn Ewers Gets Praise From Head Coach
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel praised rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers’ arm strength as “plenty of arm strength for what we need” following the team’s first preseason practice ahead of Sunday’s game in Chicago.
McDaniel emphasized that veteran Zach Wilson remains the established backup, but he left the door open for Ewers to climb the depth chart. “There’s no such thing as non-competition,” McDaniel said, noting that he judges players by their on-field work rather than reputation and that Ewers brings a daily push in practice.

With Quinn Ewers slated as the No. 3 signal-caller, his performance in the preseason will determine whether he can supplant Wilson and secure a spot on the 53-man roster.
