Travis Kelce had an interesting reaction to his Kansas City Chiefs’ loss to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
The Bills beat the Chiefs 30-21 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., to improve to 9-2 and hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season. The game effectively ended on an interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes with just over a minute left. What was odd was seeing how Kelce reacted to the interception.
Mahomes’ pass was intended for Kelce but got picked off by Terrel Bernard. Rather than show disgust or anger, Kelce oddly clapped.
Travis Kelce with the postgame clap. He knows the real test comes in January. Allen is 4-1 vs Mahomes in the regular season, Mahomes is 3-0 vs Allen in the playoffs. #ChiefsKingdom @KCTV5 pic.twitter.com/hlqwA6SqmJ

Perhaps that was Kelce’s way of showing good sportsmanship and congratulating the Bills on getting the win in the tough game between the teams. Kelce also likely recognizes that the teams may meet again in the playoffs — when it really matters. The Bills’ season has ended with a playoff loss to the Chiefs in three of the last four years. Buffalo’s job won’t fully be completed until they beat KC in the postseason.
