6 Chiefs players are rated at 90 or above in ‘Madden 26’

The full ratings for EA Sports’ “Madden 26” video game have been released. Let’s take a look at how the Kansas City Chiefs stack up.

The 90-Plus Club

Patrick Mahomes: 95 overall

Kansas City’s superstar is ranked fourth behind the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen (99 overall), the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson (99 overall) and the Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow (97 overall). Mahomes enters the 2025 season with the lowest opening rating he has received since Madden 20. I am truly shocked that a player who led their team to a Super Bowl wasn’t either a 97 or 98. It is laughable that Burrow is ahead of Mahomes.

Chris Jones: 97 overall

The superstar defensive tackle enters this year’s game tied with the New York Giants’ Dexter Lawrence II as the highest-rated players at their position. A dominant force both on the field and in Madden, Jones should start with an X-Factor ability. His 99 awareness rating sets him apart, making him the best at his position.

Creed Humphrey: 94 overall

The former Oklahoma Sooner enters the season as the best center in “Madden 26,” holding an overall rating five points higher than second-ranked Erik McCoy of the New Orleans Saints. His attributes across the board outshine every other player at the position, firmly establishing him as the top center in the game.

Trent McDuffie: 94 overall

The Chiefs’ top cornerback enters “Madden 26” tied with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Jalen Ramsey and the New York Jets’ Sauce Gardner for the third-best rating at the position. McDuffie holds the edge in agility with a 94, matches Gardner in change of direction at 91, and in awareness, trails Ramsey by just one point at 95. He’s deserving of an X-Factor ability to start the season and should be a fun lockdown corner to use in Franchise Mode.

Travis Kelce: 93 overall

Kelce enters Madden 26 as the second-highest rated tight end, trailing only George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers. Kelce stands out as the most durable at his position with a 97 injury rating, though he’s also the slowest among the top 10 tight ends, with an 82 speed rating. While Madden didn’t release catch ratings this year, it’s safe to assume Kelce’s would land in the mid to upper 90s.

Trey Smith: 90 overall

Ranked as the fourth-highest right guard in the game, Smith tied with the Denver Broncos’ Quinn Meinerz for the highest strength rating at 95. He also holds the second-highest agility rating among right guards at 69. Simply put, Smith is a beast on the offensive line.

  • Kareem Hunt, RB, 80 overall
  • Marquiese Brown, WR, 80 overall (81 in Madden 25)

In this year’s edition, EA Sports did a great job rating the Chiefs. With the variety of abilities across the roster, they remain the team to beat in this video game.
