Dodgers Lineup vs Rays: Tommy Edman and Will Smith Out, Miguel Rojas Starting

The Los Angeles Dodgers are looking to take the series against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday after winning the series opener, 5-0.

Left-handed pitcher Blake Snell will take the mound for LA on Saturday for the first time in four months. Snell made just two appearances for the Dodgers this season — allowing two earned runs over nine innings of work — before going on the injured list with a shoulder injury.

Now, he’s finally returning to the Dodgers just in time for the stretch run of the season, where he’ll look to prove his $182 million contract worth it.

Opposite Snell is Rays right-handed pitcher Drew Rasmussen, who has a 2.96 ERA with 87 strikeouts across 100.1 innings of work this year.

Tommy Edman and Will Smith are not in Saturday’s lineup. Instead, Dalton Rushing and Miguel Rojas are starting in the second game against the Rays.

Dodgers Starting Lineup

  1. Mookie Betts, SS
  2. Shohei Ohtani, DH
  3. Freddie Freeman, 1B
  4. Teoscar Hernandez, RF
  5. Michael Conforto, LF
  6. Andy Pages, CF
  7. Alex Freeland, 3B
  8. Rushing, C
  9. Miguel Rojas, 2B
