The Kansas City Chiefs are just days away from their first preseason game set for Aug. 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. For over a week, they’ve been grinding on the practice field at training camp, preparing for another Super Bowl run.
Last season ended in heartbreak — a 40–22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles with a historic three-peat on the line. But Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have fully turned the page to the 2025 NFL season now.
At Wednesday’s practice, the two were filmed connecting on a touchdown pass during an 11-on-11 drill.
Mahomes dropped back and found an open Kelce across the middle, with linebacker Cooper McDonald trailing. Kelce walked into the end zone with ease — something Chiefs fans are more than used to seeing.

Even the Chiefs’ social media team felt that way with its caption.
“Stop us if you’ve heard this before, but… Mahomes to Kelce for 6,” the Chiefs wrote.
Together, they have won three Super Bowls and have been selected to a combined 16 Pro Bowls.
