Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs have begun gearing up for the 2025 NFL season, kicking off training camp on Wednesday.
But Kelce has recently started exploring a career outside of football, specifically in acting. Over the weekend, many fans enjoyed his appearance in Adam Sandler’s new film, “Happy Gilmore 2.”
On Sunday, the Chiefs took to social media to reveal an apparent early showing of the movie, an event hosted by Kelce himself.
In attendance were many of his Kansas City teammates, including quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The Chiefs also gave a slight nod to Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, in the Instagram caption.
“The guy on the Chiefs and The Waiter in Happy Gilmore 2,” the Chiefs wrote. “Thanks for the early showing! Watch now on @netflix 🍿”
Following the Friday release on Netflix, Kelce shared his appreciation for Sandler with his own Instagram post.
“Man, this life is crazy!!” Kelce captioned his post. “Still so surreal I got this opportunity. Adam Sandler SANDMAN!! Thank you brotha, for the opportunity and for giving us all Happy Gilmore 2!”
Kelce appeared as a waiter and shared a few scenes with Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, better known as musician Bad Bunny.
But they weren’t the only stars featured in the new movie, which earned a solid rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Also included were actor Ben Stiller, rapper Post Malone, former NFL running back Reggie Bush and many professional golfers.

Kelce will begin his 13th season with the Chiefs.
They open their 2025 regular season over 5,000 miles away from Arrowhead Stadium, facing the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on September 5.
