Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson has had quite the offseason, and we aren’t even in August yet.
Ferguson, who attended the famous Tight End University program a couple of weeks back, which was hosted by Travis Kelce, George Kittle, and Greg Olsen, Ferguson managed to get to meet Grammy winner Taylor Swift.
With everyone saying the same thing about their interactions with Taylor, Ferguson, as camp continued in Oxnard, revealed the moment he met Swift.
“I shook her hand, I still haven’t washed my hand,” Ferguson said. “She’s so normal, she’s so nice! Not that I was expecting anything different, but like, she knew football. She was talking like, ‘We [the Chiefs] got a big game at Cowboys this year!’”
So that was a superb moment for Ferguson, and now his future is also secured, after agreeing to a four-year, $52 million deal with the Cowboys to keep him with the franchise for the foreseeable future.
But while having his future sorted is great, we tend to think that maybe meeting Swift might just top that if Jake were to rank the best things that have happened to him this offseason.
Set to play on the final year of his rookie deal, Ferguson is now tied to the Cowboys and Dak Prescott as he looks to bounce back from what was a poor 2024 season, thanks in part to injury, a concussion, and not having Prescott for half a season.
Now, his offseason has been completed with the new contract, but we get the sense that meeting Taylor might just trump that.
