To say that it has been an interesting offseason for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill might be an understatement.
He, rather infamously, threw a temper tantrum following the 2024 season after Miami failed to qualify for the playoffs, which led to trade rumors popping up. He continued his strange pursuit of a 100-meter race against Olympic medalist Noah Lyles. To add a cherry on top of the last few months of Hill’s life, he also underwent surgery on his right wrist.
For as great as he has been on the field, Hill has always been a bit of an enigma off the field, and fans are seeing that more than ever before. With this being the case, and Hill the only one to blame for the attention, his comments on Tuesday from Dolphins training camp will raise another question among Kansas City Chiefs fans.
Tyreek Hill Makes Surprise Admission About His Time With the Chiefs
Despite everything that transpired during the offseason, Hill remains a member of the Dolphins and has arrived at training camp with the rest of his teammates. Whether he is truthfully speaking from the heart or finally listening to his public relations team, the All-Pro wide receiver made a promise that he will be the best version of himself, on and off the field, this coming year.

For Hill as an individual, this is fantastic and a goal he should proudly have for himself.
For Kansas City Chiefs fans? It wouldn’t be shocking to hear water cooler talk concerning Hill’s comments if he is outright admitting he did not give the Chiefs the best version of himself while part of Kansas City’s roster.
While many Chiefs supporters are still holding out hope for a reunion, there doesn’t appear to be much interest from Kansas City’s front office regarding the idea. Perhaps that is for good reason.
This past season, Hill had one of his worst statistical campaigns since his rookie year. Not only did he fail to reach 100 receptions for the first time since 2020, but he also did not eclipse the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time since an injury-riddled 2019 season.
If there is some better version of Tyreek Hill out there that he has yet to tap into during his storied NFL career, then fans in Kansas City won’t enjoy keeping up with the Dolphins this season.
We’ll just have to wait and see whether Hill can follow through on that promise.
