Luka Doncic and his team have been in constant and positive contact with the Los Angeles Lakers’ front office ever since the end of the playoffs.

There have been some rumors swirling about Luka Doncic possibly not committing to a long-term future with the Los Angeles Lakers, especially after a disappointing end to their season, being eliminated in the first round.

However, Lakers fans shouldn’t worry too much, as Luka and his representatives have been in contact with the Lakers’ front office since the end of the playoffs, and the discussions have reportedly been positive.

“External fretting about Doncic committing his long-term future to the Lakers, meanwhile, has dissipated considerably thanks to the contributions made by the 26-year-old throughout free agency in collaboration with vice president of basketball operations Rob Pelinka,” The Stein Line reports.

“Contact between Pelinka, Doncic and two pillars of Team Luka has been constant since a well-chronicled dinner at Craig’s in West Hollywood shortly after L.A.’s first-round playoff elimination,” Stein Line adds.

The rejuvenated Lakers team, with the new additions of Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart, looks like a team to beat in the West next season, with Luka leading the pack.

With the Lakers, Doncic put up strong numbers last season, averaging 28.2 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game while shooting 43.8% from the field and 37.9% from three-point range.
