Taylor Swift has a new defender — and no, it’s not her boyfriend Travis Kelce. After spending two years on her billion-dollar Eras Tour, the 35-year-old pop icon is getting some unexpected backup from fellow artist Jelly Roll.
The country star, 40, had nothing but praise for Swift during a recent appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.
“Dude, she’s the GOAT. I will fist fight anybody who says otherwise,” the “Need a Favor” singer declared. Jelly didn’t stop there. Stepping in like a true Swiftie, he insisted on giving Kelce a break from bodyguard duties.
“Travis, don’t even worry. I got this one,” he joked. “I mean, literally. Like, she’s the GOAT. That is so hard to get people connected in such a way.”
Jelly Roll then shared where his admiration for Swift comes from — not just her music, but the dedication she inspires in fans night after night.
For many, attending her concert isn’t just a show, it’s an event that’s days, sometimes weeks in the making.
“We’ve all watched our wife pick out an outfit, try on two or three… Like, this is a big night. Where are we gonna eat? Where are we gonna park?” he explained.
“There’s so much more to coming out than just seeing me. I think about how special those nights are, and then imagine 60,000 people doing the same thing for her.”
Kelce clearly appreciated the support. After a clip of Jelly’s comments was posted to Instagram, the NFL star responded, writing, “My dawg is the realest!!”
As Swift continues to earn praise from fellow artists, it’s clear her impact goes far beyond the stage.
The “Bad Blood” singer wrapped her record-breaking Eras Tour in December. The three-hour show — featuring hits from her two-decade-long discography — sold more than 10 million tickets and earned her a Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing music tour of all time.
