Breaking: Chiefs Could Trade for Alec Pierce Amid Rashee Rice News
Other Possible Fits
Los Angeles Chargers
After being put on the PUP list to start his return to Los Angeles, wide receiver Mike Williams made the shocking decision to retire.
This leaves a huge hole in Justin Herbert’s offense, who is already without 2025 draft pick Tre Harris, so they’re in dire need of a replacement.
Ladd McConkey is the only active wideout who has the most potential to turn into a reliable weapon for Herbert, but the Chargers are missing a spark. If they want to return to the postseason next year, they must get someone who can turn this offense around for the long term.
While Keenan Allen is still available, it might not be the best to go back to old wounds. Pierce might provide some sigh of relief and could form a ferocious duo with McConkey as a potential fiery slot threat.
Dallas Cowboys
Meanwhile, the Dallas Cowboys trading for Pierce could make sense at the right price, and depending on where they are in the middle of the 2025 campaign.
With Jalen Tolbert entering the final year of his contract, the stakes are high, and even though they have Jonathan Mingo, he hasn’t been able to live up to expectations. If Tolbert falls apart, Pierce could be the last piece of the puzzle to form a triple-threat alongside CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens.
Washington Commanders
However, the Washington Commanders’ wide receiver room doesn’t look the greatest amid the Terry McLaurin drama and losing Noah Brown to a gruesome injury.
While they have Deebo Samuel, Luke McCaffrey and Michael Gallup, it doesn’t boost their postseason chances by any means. If they can’t get a deal done with McLaurin, they should probably target Pierce to help McCaffrey in the slot route.
