Bruno Fernandes Rejects £200M Saudi Offer – Still Banks £8M in Off-Pitch Earnings - 90 Minutes Sport
Bruno Fernandes may have turned down a jaw-dropping £200million offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal, but the Manchester United captain isn’t exactly struggling for cash.

Despite rejecting a three-year tax-free deal that would have made him one of the highest-paid players in the world, Fernandes continues to earn millions away from the pitch. Recent financial records show that the Portuguese midfielder earned £8.3million in image rights through his company, BF8 Sports Limited, during the 2023/24 season.

The off-field income means Fernandes makes around £175,000 per month in addition to his Manchester United wages and bonuses. After covering expenses, the United star still banked nearly £7.85million in profit from sponsorships, endorsements, and commercial deals.

This figure is a major jump from the previous year, up by more than £2million, as Fernandes continues to grow his brand. His off-field deals include big names like Adidas and EA Sports, and he reportedly owns several properties in both England and Portugal.

On the pitch, Fernandes is under contract at Old Trafford until 2027, with United holding the option to extend it by another year. He is said to earn around £12.5million a year in salary, not including his bonuses and sponsorships.

New manager Ruben Amorim has made it clear that Fernandes is key to United’s future success and praised his decision to stay. Speaking about the 30-year-old’s loyalty, Amorim said:

> “He is seeing us taking some actions to change all the things, and I think that is all that he wants to stay.
He’s saying ‘no’ to a lot of things, but it shows that he wants to win.
He’s really young, he’s really good. He needs to be in the best league in the world.”

Al-Hilal were reportedly ready to pay Manchester United £100million for the midfielder, but Fernandes wants to continue competing at the highest level in Europe instead.

While the massive Saudi payday is off the table—for now—Bruno Fernandes is proving that success, loyalty, and financial rewards can still go hand-in-hand in modern football.
