The Kansas City Chiefs took a big hit last season.

They fell just short of their third consecutive Super Bowl parade.

That’s why coach Andy Reid won’t take things lightly this time around.

In a recent interview with Kay Adams, second-year WR Xavier Worthy revealed Coach Reid’s warning for the team:

“Coach Reid told us during OTAs Phase 1, ‘When you come back, get your hamstrings ready,’” Worthy told Kay Adams during an appearance on FanDuel TV’s Up and Adams show. “So, we kind of knew that we were going to be going a little deep during practice. We kind of got our bodies and our minds ready for what we’re going to be doing in practice.”

The Chiefs didn’t look as dominant last season, but they still managed to get to the last game of the season.

That should be a scary thought for the rest of the league, as they didn’t even need to be at their best to get past most of their opposition.

Now, they enter this season with a fully healthy offense.

Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown and Rashee Rice are back to full strength, and keeping them that way will be crucial to this team’s success.

The Chiefs have failed to live up to the standards on offense since Eric Bieniemy left, leaving fans questioning Matt Nagy’s job in charge of the offense.

They’ve also failed to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blindside.

But now that they’ve fallen from grace and didn’t look competitive against the Philadelphia Eagles, there will be no more margin for error in Missouri.

Some might think that we’ve already seen the best and the last of the Chiefs.

Still, it might not be wise to sleep on Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid.
