Arsenal Agree £52m Deal for Noni Madueke

Arsenal have reached an agreement with Chelsea to sign Noni Madueke, with the total fee set at £52 million. The Gunners will pay £48.5 million upfront, after Chelsea allowed Madueke to leave their Club World Cup camp in the United States to complete the move.

Arsenal were determined to secure the player for less than £50 million, keeping the fee below current market rates for Premier League attackers like Joao Pedro, Anthony Elanga, Mohammed Kudus, and Morgan Gibbs-White. Sources describe the fee as a well-negotiated figure.

While this transfer was not directly driven by Mikel Arteta, the club’s recruitment strategy — led by Andrea Berta — ensured all decision-makers agreed before proceeding.

Madueke’s medical is now scheduled, with Arsenal pushing to finalize their major transfers ahead of the new season. The club is also in active talks with Sporting CP for Viktor Gyokeres and aims to formalize interest in Eberechi Eze. Arteta is hoping to have a new striker join the squad by July 19, when they travel to Asia for pre-season.

Meanwhile, Gyokeres missed Sporting’s pre-season training on Friday and is unlikely to return Saturday, as discussions continue between the clubs.
