Travis Kelce competed in the American Century Championship golf tournament this weekend in Lake Tahoe.
While playing, he responded to a fan’s comment about Taylor Swift being the “best girlfriend.”
Swift wasn’t with him and has a history of skipping the tournament.
Sources detailed what’s in store for the couple once the Kansas City Chiefs tight end begins his NFL season.
Travis Kelce spent his weekend in Lake Tahoe—and Taylor Swift didn’t appear to be there with him.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end played in the American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament, then was photographed leaving Harrah’s Casino with his brother, Jason Kelce, at 2 A.M. on Sunday.
TMZ ran photos of the brothers.
Swift was still on his mind though. While Travis was preparing to swing during the tournament, one fan told him, “You have the best girlfriend in the world. You got it!” He responded, “Good point.”

So why wasn’t Swift in Lake Tahoe with Travis? The Kelce brothers played in the same tournament last year, and she didn’t attend then either, as she had Eras Tour concerts.
This year, it appears Swift didn’t want to take the spotlight off Travis and the other contestants, so she skipped the event.
Swift and Travis have also been more private about their relationship this year. On June 4, a source told Us Weekly,
“They are making fewer public appearances together because [their relationship] brings too much unwanted attention, but there isn’t trouble in paradise.”
Behind the scenes, the couple of nearly two years really is stronger than ever. As a source explained to People on July 1, the time they’ve spent together during Travis’s offseason has been pivotal.
“It’s been a turning point for their relationship in a lot of ways,” the source explained. “They’re incredibly happy and in sync. There’s a calmness and ease to their relationship right now that’s been really grounding for Taylor and Travis.”
They’ve been flying under the radar too, the source said: “Taylor and Travis are soaking up every minute of this slower season together.
They’ve been splitting their time between New York, Nashville, and a few quiet getaways, just enjoying each other’s company without all the usual chaos. This kind of downtime is rare for both of them, and it’s really allowed their bond to deepen.”
Travis will begin training camp for the Chiefs soon. Once his NFL season begins, expect to see Swift at many games. On June 12, an insider told People, “This fall will be completely different.
It’s the first season where she’s not constantly flying back and forth or working around an entire touring calendar.”
The source added, “Her schedule is much more open now that the Eras Tour is wrapped, and she’s genuinely excited to have the time and flexibility to show up for Travis more consistently.”
