Chiefs News!!! Patrick Mahomes’ trainer has his client’s back after recent personal attacks

Bobby Stroupe has had enough of recent criticisms directed at his most famous client.

Chiefs News: Patrick Mahomes' trainer Bobby Stroupe has his QB's back - Arrowhead Pride

Bobby Stroupe — who has been training Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes since he was a young boy — has found himself defending his most famous client in recent days.

First, Stroupe took on former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who used a recent episode of his “Footbahlin’” podcast to become the latest to claim Mahomes’ career has passed its peak.

“I think Aaron Rodgers in his prime was one of the top few to ever do it — and so is Patrick Mahomes at his prime,” said Roethlisberger. “Patrick Mahomes is just entering out-of-his-prime, I think.”

In a since-deleted post on X, Stroupe took exception to that.

“Not everybody quits working out at 30 years old, Ben,” he retorted.

Then Stroupe went after Kansas City media personality Kevin Ketizman, who had gone well beyond the “dad bod” comments that have recently been made about the soon-to-be-30 two-time NFL MVP.

“Vacation photos are popping up of Patrick Mahomes, and he’s fat,” claimed Kietzman. “I’m gonna say it — and I’m gonna tell you the truth: He’s an embarrassment.”

But for Keitzman, that wasn’t going quite far enough.

“You’re a $500 million quarterback,” he add. “You’ve made all these comments in the offseason that, ‘We’re gonna do our talking on the field, we got our butts kicked in the Super Bowl, we’re coming back with a vengeance’… Dude, you’re fat. Your belly would be fat at my pool, hanging out with us 60-year-olds. Stop. Stop the fast food. Do a sit-up. Do something.”

For Stroupe, that was a bridge too far.

“Send me your location,” he replied angrily in another deleted X post.

“You obviously need attention. If you want to see what ‘in shape is,’ go make it through a [training camp] practice at Saint Joseph or run [a] hurry-up offense [while] scrambling back-to-back-to-back plays.

“You don’t have a clue what it takes. It’s not a look. It’s performance.”

Mahomes was not yet… uhhh… weighed in on this dispute. But knowing Mahomes, he will respond in his typical way: with performance. He will begin his ninth NFL season against the Los Angeles Chargers in São Paulo, Brazil on September 5.

And it can’t get here fast enough.
